Here's What You Can Do To Help

We are calling for a Commission of Inquiry into the process behind the development and have petition books available to sign during our public appearances. For more information, please contact us.
JOIN OUR ASSOCIATION

Become a member of the Hill Top Residents' Action Group Inc by completing a membership form. By growing our membership base we can quote the actual numbers of people in our villages that are against the development. Also we can send you information when the DA is released on how to write a submission against the proposal. See below for membership form (all information is kept confidential).
BUY A T-SHIRT.

We have designed T-shirts that send a very clear message that we do not want this development. Buying and wearing one of these T-shirts will not only provide much needed funds for our campaign but show your support for the cause. To place an order e-mail nogunclub@optusnet.com.au. 4. MAKE A DONATION.

Help us fight this development by making a contribution to our campaign. We need money to pay for on-going website fees, printing of flyers and posters, insurance and equipment hire for the Public Meeting, and so on. Donations may be deposited into the following account:

5. WRITE LETTERS.

Now is the time to send letters to the various government departments that can help us stop this development or need to hear our concerns so they will reconsider this development. To make things easy we have drafted a number of form letters which you can use. Just copy and paste from the letters under the heading "Sample Letters". Please do this now as we don't have time to waste. Have everyone in your household, and anyone outside this area that is also concerned, send a letter to each of the departments listed under "Sample Letters".

6. NOTIFY US IF YOU HEAR GUNFIRE.

We are mapping Hill Top, Balmoral and Colo Vale areas to ascertain where people can currently hear noise from the rifle range. Please send an e-mail to nogunclub@optusnet.com.au or write to us at PO Box 3024, Hill Top 2575 and let us know your address and whether you have ever heard gunfire or explosions while inside or outside your home (your details will be kept confidential).

7. LODGE A NOISE COMPLAINT.

If you hear ANY noise from the current rifle range or the general direction, ie gunfire or explosions, report it to the Council. The Council have to record these noise complaints and it will demonstrate the disturbances we are currently experiencing. Wingecarribee Shire Council number is 4868 0888, say that you wish to make a noise complaint and they will put you through to the Environment & Health Department.

HILL TOP RESIDENTS’ ACTION GROUP INC

CONSTITUTION

The Hill Top Residents’ Action Group Inc (HTRAG) was established in response to a proposal announced in 2006 to build a Southern Highlands Regional Shooting Facility at Hill Top on Crown Land within the Bargo Conservation Area. The aim of our organisation is to oppose the development of this large scale shooting facility and hence protect the local communities at Hill Top, Colo Vale & Balmoral from the social and environmental problems that would result from such a facility. In our efforts to oppose this development will we source funding, support and advice in order to achieve our goal. We will also seek membership of those committed to our cause from the local communities affected by this development.
